The 6th International Symposium on the Ocean in a High CO₂ World
Moving from Understanding to Action using Multiple Knowledge Systems
Date: 13–16 October 2026
Location: Tākina Convention & Exhibition Centre, Wellington, New Zealand.
Set against Wellington’s rugged coastlines, join researchers and other thought leaders from across the globe to explore the impacts of rising CO₂ and help shape future ocean science solutions. Experience Wellington through ecosanctuary tours, SCUBA dives in Taputeranga Marine Reserve, and a wide range of technical workshops.
The programme is designed to foster innovation, dialogue, and practical solutions across key themes:
